SRDF session options
SRDF transparently remotely mirrors production or primary (source) site data to a secondary (target) site to users, applications, databases, and host processors.

| Bypass | This option bypasses the exclusive locks for the local or remote storage system during SRDF operations. Use this option only if you are sure that no other SRDF operation is in progress on the local or remote storage systems. |

| Establish | This option fails over the volume pairs, performs a dynamic swap, and incrementally establishes the pairs. This option is not supported when volumes operating in Asynchronous mode are read/write on the SRDF link. To perform a failover operation on such volumes, specify the Restore option. | Failover |
| Force | This option overrides any restrictions and forces the operation, even though one or more paired volumes may not be in the expected state. Use caution when checking this option because improper use may result in data loss. |

| Immediate | This option causes the suspend, split, and failover actions on asynchronous volumes to happen immediately. |

| NoWD | The No write disable option bypasses the check to ensure that the target of operation is write disabled to the host. This option applies to the source (R1) volumes when used with the Invalidate R1option and to the target (R2) volumes when used with the Invalidate R2 option. | |

| Remote | This option is used when performing a restore or failback action with the concurrent link up, data that is copied from the R2 to the R1 is copied to the concurrent R2. These actions require this option. |

When the failover swap completes, invalid tracks on the new R2 side (formerly the R1 side) are restored to the new R1 side (formerly the R2 side). When used together with the Immediate option, the failover operation immediately deactivates the SRDF/A session without waiting two cycle switches for session to terminate. |
